MEET SANDRA...
Hello Bride-to-be and Welcome! This is such an exciting time for you! I’m Sandra - the lead photographer, owner, and heart & soul behind Fieldstone Photography! I am so excited that you found us! Because I believe that getting to know our clients is the #1 way to ensure an awesome experience, I’d love to tell you a litte about me! Here are a few things you should know!
- My favorite pasttimes include playing city league softball, volunteering on praise team at our church, drinking iced coffee at any local QC Coffee Shop, mentoring other photographers, and campfires with my pyro kiddos.
- I met my husband while attending college through a mutual friend!
- My husband Cyle and I were married on 10/12/13 (BEST. DAY. EVER.)
- I started FSP (originally Oh Snap! Photography) in 2010 while I was in college
- I have a 16 year old step son and 4 beautiful little girls (all 5 and younger)
- I am beyond passionate about wedding & engagement photography
- I live in Eastern Iowa but love to travel all over the US for weddings
- Every year I take a girls trip with my best friends (we’ve all been friends since Junior High!)
- I have a “slight” dog obsession (I have a Yorkie with dreams of someday adopting a mini Goldendoodle)
- I love creating beautiful images but more importantly, I love serving couples on one of the greatest days of their lives!!

Your engagement session is such a big part of your wedding photography! It is a fantastic time to get to know us as your photographers, as well as getting comfortable with our posing style and being in front of the camera. Think of it as a practice run before the big day. It is also a fantastic opportunity to create art pieces to use on your wedding day! From a fine art guest book (custom made to your design) to wall hangings or framed prints - we will help you personalize your wedding decor with your love story.
*Included with every engagement session is travel to anywhere in the continental U.S. We know that a lot of our couples are planning their weddings from a far and we want to ensure that you are getting the complete FSP experience; starting with a one-of-a-kind engagement session with us!

Handcrafted Albums are the perfect way to remember your wedding day
Fieldstone Photography offers beautifully designed 8x8, 10x10, or 12x12 albums, each lavishly appointed with 30 page custom layouts in a magazine style and bound in luxe fine linen. Our modern albums are unparalleled in style and quality, with real photographic prints mounted to an archival page foundation by our personal book binder. Boudoir sessions are a wonderful keepsake to gift your fiance to remember such a big moment in time. We capture who you are and all of the beautiful intricacies that make up who you are (the reason he fell in love with you!) You will be welcomed into our quaint private studio for your session complete with beautiful furniture, a glass of wine, and gorgeous natural lighting. Included in your session is professional makeup application, neutral colored linens, and a one of a kind heirloom album to gift to your husband.

the process
From start to finish we try to make every aspect of your wedding as simple and easy as possible. Once you inquire about our services I love to sit down with our potential clients and chat over coffee or Facetime. This gives me the chance to get to know you better and be able to easily answer any questions that you may have for me. I will also show you a complete wedding gallery and samples of some of our art pieces that are available. From there I recommend you take a day or two to think about your options (choosing a photographer is a big deal!). Once you decide to book I will send your contract and invoice through our online system. It is a seamless process and you will easily be guided through it step by step. We must have a signed contract and 35% retainer to officially book your date.
After you are officially booked the next step in the process is for you to schedule your engagement session. When you have your session is completely up to you (although I recommend having it 3-6 months prior to your wedding to avoid wedding stress), but I do require at least two weeks notice to book your date.
You will receive a style guide & a location guide to walk you through to process of planning the perfect engagement session! You will also receive any advice from myself that you would like. I'm here to help bring your vision to life.
After your engagement session I will work with you to create any products you would like for your wedding - save the dates, guest book, decorative pieces, etc... These are completely customized to your vision, and we love to see engagement photos utilized in your wedding design.
About ten weeks before your wedding we will gather some information from you and curate your customized timeline for your wedding day. This will include time for candid photos, details, all of your timeless portraits and family photos, as well as some downtime to relax together, and all of your reception festivities.
Once everything is approved you will receive your customized timeline in an easy to utilize PDF download.
From there it's just a few short weeks until the big day! We will send a week-of email confirming the time and location of our arrival, as well as asking for any last minute questions or details. We treat every single wedding day as if it were our own and we show up ready to do whatever needs to be done to ensure that your day is perfect.
